Students of the Parents of Autistic Children (POAC) Challenger League of Monmouth and Ocean Counties really were all-stars during a special senior All-Star game at the BlueClaws baseball stadium in Lakewood on May 31. The co-ed league is unlike any other in the state because the students play on teams representing their schools. Laura Bishop Communications helped shine the spotlight on Jacob Parker of Tuckerton, playing for Pinelands Regional School District, who has been part of the league for the past eight years. His story, and those of his peers, was published in NJ.com and in The SandPaper.
More than 850 students, staff, and Rancocas Valley Regional High School community members were a part of the Devil Dash obstacle course race on Friday, June 3, raising funds for the Pat Tillman Foundation. We couldn’t believe our eyes when Batman, Pac-Man, and students in tutus raced through 40 obstacles in the mud, but luckily The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Burlington County Times was there to capture it all!
Pinelands Regional School District will be receiving a brand new 3D printer and filament from New Matter, thanks to a grant submitted by LBC’s very own Karen Forst. We couldn’t be more excited for the district!
Ocean City Intermediate School teacher Cholehna Weaver better have her passport handy – because she’s going to Iceland this summer as a Lindblad Expeditions & National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow, fresh off a trip to China last year as a Fulbright Scholar! After we found out the exciting news, we organized media visits to Cholehna’s classroom, and the Press of Atlantic City, Cape May County Herald, Ocean City Sentinel, Ocean City Gazette, and more published articles as a result!
Medford Leas is holding a host of programs this spring, from concerts to daffodil walks to birding trips. Browse the offerings at www.medfordleas.org, as well as some of the publicity we’ve garnered from outlets such as The Burlington County Times.
Laura Bishop has been going to Nelson Chiropractic & Pilates Center for 15 years, so it was no surprise to see Laura featured on the center’s newly redesigned website! Check out Laura, in the white and black paisley top, on the Nelson website!
We love to shine the spotlight on our clients! Last December, Evesham Township School District hosted an Empty Bowls Event at Marlton Middle School, and NJ-TV just produced this 5-minute segment on the event! Check it out!
Members of the Rancocas Conservancy board of trustees – is that you, Laura Bishop?! - recently spent a day clearing a meadow on one of their newest preserves, Cold Springs in Evesham Township. The meadow will provide a habitat for birds and butterflies. See more photos. Visit the Rancocas Conservancy website.
