Digital Media Specialist
Ben is no wallflower. He looks for engaging conversation and jumps in. His mom taught him to talk while his Dad taught him to listen. Sharing stories with his family, friends, clients, and strangers is something Ben truly enjoys, and he’s always ready with a joke to add a bit of levity when needed.
How Ben Got Here
During Ben’s college career at Widener University, he built relationships with former colleagues of LBC Vice President Allyson Roberts, who worked in Widener’s Office of University Relations two years prior to Ben’s arrival there as an intern.
As a communication studies student, he also established connections with faculty members who Allyson knew well and previously taught alongside as an adjunct professor. So, when Allyson reached out to her former employer looking for recommendations for young talent, Ben’s name popped up, again and again.
After a virtual meeting with Ben, both Allyson and Laura agreed that he would be a great fit for LBC.
His previous internships in the non-profit and higher education sectors gave him a strong foundation for further developing those skills – something he looks forward to accomplishing alongside – or nowadays over Zoom – with the LBC Crew.
Talents and Expertise
Ben takes prides in his work ethic and attention to detail. His writing-intensive college curriculum provided him with the ability to communicate across multiple mediums, both visual and written. And, although he does not have years of industry experience, he did log some one-of-a-kind hands on experiences in college like traveling to the New Hampshire Primary to interview young voters for op-ed material, and helping to lead a digital rebranding campaign for his senior project client.
His Favorite Projects
Ben enjoys writing and storytelling on social media as well as other platforms. Any project that has him practicing his grammar while sharing interesting information with or about clients is one he’s happy to take on.
Other Stuff Ben Does
If Ben isn’t working, you’ll find him outside. He’s an avid tennis player who enjoys most sports and outside activities, so it’s rare to see Ben inside on a sunny day.
Family and friends are important to Ben. As the youngest of five siblings, he is an uncle to 10 nieces and nephews, and they keep him very busy!
Ben was a member of both the Widener University National Communication Honors Society as well as the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), which he intends to remain involved in through participation in events.
Ben graduated from Widener University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies.
